(I know many of you are thinking Muir! You just came off 5 1/2 weeks off! I get it but we haven't had a snow day yet this year and it isn't looking good! I'm really just thinking of the kids! They deserve it! They work so hard! (Is the sarcasm and bullshit coming through?)
Nothing new is happening here. Jim wasn't feeling great yesterday and I don't know why. Of course it all hit him as I was putting dinner on the table. But he rallied and managed to eat a little. I think this is what the doctor said would happen periodically. Jim thinks he's doing great and making strides and then he overdoes it a little and his body says Hey buddy! We're still recovering. I'm very proud of myself too because I didn't give him guff about it nor did I roll my eyes! Well, not that he could see at least. That's a hard habit to break. At one point he said, "Are you annoyed with me?" And I was able to look him in the eye and honestly say, " Not at all!" And I really did mean it.
Dinner tonight: I'm making Teriyaki Chicken bowls. The recipe is actually called Teriyaki Turkey Bowls but Jim isn't a big fan of ground turkey so I'll use chicken instead. It'll be a good, healthy and easy meal.
I managed to walk Scout about a mile yesterday. He did well until he walked in the grass for a second where there was a little snow and he got snow caught between his toes. I had to pick him up for a few dozen feet and warm his tootsies up. Today should be a little warmer (in the 20s) so I'm hoping to get him a better walk today. Poor little buddy misses his walks. I can tell that the boys are a little stir crazy. Lately, without their normal walks, when they play they get a little too rough and tend to have little spats where Momma has to step in. Brothers!
Mom is still doing well. Maggie says she's very alert and has very little confusion and when she does it seems she knows...sort of. She also seems to really like the place she's staying and she's eating better. All positives!
K - I'd best finish my routine and get on the road. Happy Wednesday! Stay warm! Later.
