Games, Games, Games

My weekend was filled with a LOT of gaming. It was way too cold to walk the dogs or do much of anything so Jim and I spent a ton of time playing Rummikub, Skip-Bo, Yahtzee and we did get together with Doug and Lauren yesterday for some Euchre. Jim did a lot of losing. I think he won one game of Rummikub and one game of Skip-Bo but who's counting?

Beyond that we went to Shooters. We tried to go to Hoppin' Vines for some duckpin bowling but they had the lanes closed for a private party. Bullshit! We just ended up going to Condado tacos for lunch and heading home.

Jim's regularly scheduled rehab starts today. (He had an appointment last Friday but that was just to assess him and set up his schedule.) He'll go Monday, Wednesday and Friday for the next several weeks. Our insurance allows for 36 visits but he'll probably just go through the rest of this month and February until he starts back up at work. Which, by the way, I can't wait for. Not that he's getting on my nerves or anything but I sure do miss his pay check.

The week should be pretty low key. I have an IEP meeting today at 12:30 for a senior via Zoom. I'm hoping it takes all of 15 minutes but we'll see.

Dinner tonight: I'll make a chicken burrito concoction in the instant pot. Something easy.

In Mom news, there isn't much to tell. She had a busy day yesterday with visits from Anne, Trip, and my cousins Jeff and Becky drove 7 hours up to see her. They then turned around and drove home. That's crazy and so kind! The week will be telling in terms of plans for her possible release. Trip plans on calling this morning and talking to the director who makes the decisions. I just don't understand why they're trying to boot her early when she just doesn't seem to be there yet. I get that they consider her "high functioning" in comparison to others in the memory care unit but she's still considered a patient with dementia. So frustrating.

We're expecting possible ice tomorrow at this time. I hate ice!

Okay well, I'd best finish up my toilette. Happy Monday. Later!
