Sleeping In

Ahhhh...I slept "in" until 4:50 - my usual time - and it was lovely. Although the dream I was having was nuts. Maggie was getting married, I was the matron of honor and rushing around to get my hair done. I had to run up to my hotel room and found that I was put in a room on the 9th floor of some hotel where to get to the actual room, you had to go out a window - on the 9th floor - and maneuver over a rather large drop into nothing to the door. I said to the bellhop dude taking me to my room, "I'm going to be wasted later...this isn't safe! I'll just stay with my sister, in her room." (You know the sister getting married that night...weird!)

In other news, I finished a really good book: I Am Pilgrim by Terry Hayes. It's a really long book with a LOT of twists and turns and ins and outs and back story but it's GOOD! It's also a spy novel so if that isn't your thing...well, it isn't my thing normally either but it was really good.

So now I need to find another book and all the ones I keep trying to check out are already checked out. Ugh! I'll have to peruse today at school.

Speaking of school, all is fine there. I wasn't in my room most of the morning but it didn't seem like the nurse was as busy yesterday as she had been Monday. However, I think there were a couple new cases of Covid and I'm sure more quarantined.

My training yesterday was good. The program that we're using for our kids with reading and math goals seems to be a good program but it's just so hard to find the time to figure everything out with it. I'll get there, it just takes time.

Jim was up half the night sweating. I don't know what's up with him but if he's not cold he's sweating profusely. I think it's his chemo meds but the poor dude started the night having to sleep on a towel and eventually went downstairs because he felt like he was tossing and turning and keeping me up. I had no idea but whatever...Scout and I were happy to have the bed to ourselves. (If you're wondering, Boo's taken to sleeping under the bed.)

And the rain has moved out of the area with cooler temps and a lovely breeze taking its place. I look forward to taking a nice bike ride after school today. Can't wait.

Dinner tonight will be mahi mahi in the air fryer. I haven't decided if I'm going to do a fish and chips thing or something else...we'll see what I'm in the mood for.

I went on H&M the other day and found some cut sweatshirt dresses for fall/winter and now I'm all excited to wear which means cooler weather needs to get here and stay here! So ready!

Okay - well, that's all I've got. Time to get a move on. Today is review day in science and history (test tomorrow) and then in LA, we're continuing with reading Othello. Happy Wednesday...we're halfway there! Later!
