Negotiations

Good news! The trial I'm a witness in is hopefully going to be cancelled. Currently the woman (crazy parent) who had charges of harassment brought up against her is in plea negotiations with the lawyers. I still have to go down to the courthouse on Monday in case, at the last minute, she decides against the plea but this is unlikely. Part of the diversion program that was offered to her was that she be in therapy for a year but she was unwilling to do this. Then, at the last court hearing she had an outburst and was kicked out of court and the judge demanded she get a psyche eval. From there, she started therapy. Fingers crossed that I only have to show my face on Monday at court and then get to go home without having to take the stand.

So I've been up since about 5:00 (on purpose). I got on the elliptical and just finished breakfast. I'm trying to get Jim out of bed but he's ignoring me. I don't blame him because he can't eat or drink anything before his procedure and it sucks waking up knowing you can't have a delicious cup of joe. However, we have to leave in about 45 and he needs to get his ass out of bed. Annoying.

I came home to find that Jim got the trench dug out, the drain laid out and halfway buried it. If we get home at a reasonable time, I'll finish up burying it so that grass seed can be put down.

Not sure how long this procedure will take...I'd expect an hour or less but we'll see. Hopefully we'll be out of there by lunchtime, latest.

No real plans for the weekend, just doing things around here. I'll make shepherd's pie tonight for dinner (we ended up going out to dinner last night).

And that's all I've got. Time to get dressed and hit the road. Happy Friday! Later!
