What a lovely weekend it was. The weather was perfect! And it was pretty relaxing for the most part. Friday Jim and I just hung out, I made a nice chicken soup and took a restorative bubble bath then hit the hay. Saturday Jim and I got up, had breakfast, went to BB&B to get a gift for his sister's birthday and then went to Condado Tacos. I got a chicken taco and a jackfruit taco which is definitely my fave! It was scrumptious! Jim got chorizo (of course) and brisket. From there we came home and Jim napped while I watch a movie (more on that in a minute) before we headed out to his brother's house for a party for his sister's birthday. It was fun and good to see all of Jim's cousins. Sunday, Jim and I got up, walked the boys and then worked in the side yard. We managed to get all the dirt spread and properly aerated and then we laid seed. Jim will continue to work in the yard this week to get the last bits and pieces smoothed out.
So, yeah...Saturday after we finished with errands and lunch, I was going to take a nap but instead turned on Netflix and found a movie to watch - The Starling with Melissa McCarthy and Chris O'Dowd. Not a comedy. It was so good...tough subject matter but they were amazing in it. Highly recommended.Ooh, it's going to be windy today. I plan on getting on the bike after school but it might be tough going but that's okay...a better workout.
What else? Oh, the Bengals looked good yesterday but even better the Steelers looked like shit!
The week at work: I've got an IEP on Tuesday which is really the kick off to a shit ton of IEPs over the next month or so. The majority of my IEPs are due before the semester breaks (I'll only have 5 left from January to May) which in one way is good because I get them out of the way but it certainly makes my life very harried with scheduling them, writing them and keeping everything straight. Ugh! Other than that, this week should be fairly easy. I'm hoping to show a movie in LA starting today (an Othello movie) but it's rated R and I need permission from parents to show it. I highly doubt all my kids will remember to get permission. But we'll see.
K - well, time to get Jimmy up and at 'em...he has a CT with contrast today. That procedure is at 12:30 but then I just looked at his chart and it said he has an appointment with the surgeon this morning. So confusing. Sometimes they schedule this shit and don't always tell you.
Happy Monday! Later!
