Jim's appointment with his surgeon went well yesterday. She's happy with his progress and told him that at the 6 week mark, he can go back to all normal activity and eating. I'm excited about the normal diet thing because I'm so sick of only having the option of making him green beans for a veggie. Last night I ended up grilling chicken to put in a salad for me and make a sandwich for him. He doesn't care. In fact, he was happy because I also made him mac n cheese - Velveeta mac and cheese...his favorite! Oh, and if you're curious about him getting all those carbs and shitty food and wondering why I don't have a problem with it, well, he was down to 200 pounds at his appointment yesterday. That's his lowest weight yet and the doc wants him to stop losing weight. She told him to start packing on the protein which will hopefully help with his recovery and stamina. Lastly, he'll meet with her again in 3 months.
Jim's up and about for his scan. He had to get up extra early to drink his contrast for his 6:45 scan. I'll let you know how that goes but most likely I won't know anything until his follow up appointment on 9/21. Which is annoying...they could release the results on Mychart but they never do.
I got a TON of shit done yesterday at school. I finished my IEP for tomorrow and mostly finished an IEP for 9/28 and wrote out my part for two ETRs coming up (I know you probably don't know what the heck I'm talking about just know that it's stupid paperwork that takes a stupid amount of time).
Oh shit! I just remembered I have a stupid training thing today at 10:30. I'm so sick of training shit. It's all for this new program we're using with the kids for reading, math and writing and I just don't have the fucking time to do it all. I'm constantly trying to keep up with kids assignments and their tests and quizzes and I know I'm supposed to be working on their goals but I do that. Problem is, I'm just not okay with saying, "Sorry you're missing 3 assignments but you'll have to take care of that on your own time because we have to work on your SDI." All the SDI in the world isn't going to help them if they fail their classes because the didn't turn an assignment in. (Again, I know you don't know what I'm talking about but you get what I'm trying to say.)
Okay well, it's time to get a move on. Not sure what I'm making for dinner...maybe spaghetti...something easy. Happy Tuesday! Later!
