Confused While Sleeping

I woke up in the middle of the night and thought, Ah...it's Saturday...I get to sleep in! Wait...is it Saturday? Damn...it's Friday; I have one more day. Pfft!  I hate when I wake up confused like that. However, at least I still had a couple hours to sleep until the alarm went off. And I haven't had any issues of late waking up in the middle of the night and then falling back asleep. I don't know if it's because of the magnesium I've been taking but something has been working.

I'm so proud of myself! I didn't drink Monday, Tuesday or Thursday this week! And Wednesday I only had 2 (regular sized) glasses of wine! I know many (well, a couple of you) may be thinking Does Muir have a problem? No! I don't. It's not imbibing and getting "drunk" that I'm avoiding (I don't drink to get drunk when I drink.) It's about wanting to enjoy a glass or two of wine EVERY day which adds to the calorie count which helps to pack on the belly fat. That's my problem. That's what I'm trying to avoid. So yeah, I'm proud of not drinking three days this week. And I'm so excited to have a couple glasses today.

I have that stupid meeting today at 1:00 with my needy parents. I didn't set up this meeting, I left it to the guidance counselor to do that since the mother mentioned in her email request that her son was having anxiety. That's not a special ed issue so I won't be leading this meeting. In fact, I plan on sitting back and having little so say. Although I might mention that when I talked to the kid on Wednesday,  and asked him what he does in his regular study hall each day (a study hall that he has in addition to his special ed study hall) he answered, "Nothing. Maybe I should start doing something." Mom and dad might want to know about that.

And that's all I have. It looks like Jim won't need to stay in Columbus tonight (I'll let you know for sure later today Maggie). He got the blueprints of the building he's supposed to work in and the two bathroom looks to be just single stall ones. That shouldn't take two days. On the one hand I'm glad but on the other, I was kind of looking forward to some alone time. No big deal.

Oh, and dinner: I think I'll have Jim pick something up on his way home. Not sure what...I told him he could choose.

K - I'm out. Time to get this day started. Happy Friday! Later! Stay safe and healthy.
