Best Week Ever

Monday was a work day then Tuesday a snow day. Wednesday a work day then Thursday a remote learning day due to snow and today, I'm back at work with a three-day weekend in my future! And!!! Another possible snow storm on Monday night. It's some crazy shit here but I'm not complaining! It's been a lovely week! I'm sure in the near future, I'll be real sick of the snow that just won't melt but for now, I'll enjoy it.

Scout isn't very happy that he isn't getting his daily 2-3 mile walk (he barely ate yesterday and refused breakfast again this morning) but he's liking the view he gets of the back yard beyond the fence. With all the snow, he can see every animal back there. Yesterday there were 2 deer that were just hanging for about an hour. It drove Scout out of his mind and he was literally screaming/barking at them but they didn't care. I think I saw them stick their tongues out at him knowing he couldn't get to them. 

I got an email from a "parent" last night - after Parent/Teacher conferences were over saying he had signed up for a conference with me and never heard from me. So I checked the sign ups and, uh, nope, sorry sir! No sign up from you. I'll deal with it later. It's actually the grandfather of my mentally unstable kid. I guess he's back living with his grandparents and grandpa is now the "point person". Great...someone new I have to deal with. 

Weekend plans: Nothing. Shooters at some point, I'm sure. Tonight is soup and grilled cheese for dinner. 

I made a new find thanks to my neighbor. She texted me a picture of the can the other day (PBR Hard coffee) and so I bought a 4 pack at Kroger yesterday and of course had to try. I didn't know what to expect...is it beer is it a seltzer? And then I poured and sipped. It's like an alcoholic (5%) Yoohoo...quite delicious. A mix between chocolate milk and coffee milk. Yummy! But not something I'd be able to drink more than one of in a night. It'd be good over ice with a shot of vodka too! That, however, might send me straight to bed. May have to try that tonight!

I haven't updated about Richard lately. Well, he gets to go home today. Mom is excited but also trepidatious about his limitations. Hopefully they'll both take it slowly and hopefully R will be realistic about what he can do and what he expects of my mom. 

And that's all I've got. I think I'll wear my slippers to work today. They're my Keens so they look like shoes but I just feel like being cozy today. Plus it's cold as shit and my room is the coldest in the building. In fact, I had a conference with one of my parents last night for P/T conferences and she asked if she could send a heated blanket with her daughter to keep in my room. (This is my medically fragile student who's had a heart transplant and is often hospitalized; she's crazy skinny and is horribly affected by the cold.) I told the mother OF COURSE!!! I might just climb under there with her!
