Lather, Rinse, Repeat

Well, the massive amounts of snow we were supposed to get didn't happen. Instead we got a shit ton of sleet/ice. Over that we got (in my neighborhood) about three inches of snow and it's still coming down, though slowly without too much more accumulation. This is certainly the worse of the two. I'd much rather have snow than ice. Thankfully, school was called last night and Jim's follow-up appointment was moved to 11:00 AM.

I went out last night and shoveled the sleet so hopefully when I go out after typing this to shovel the snow, it won't be too terribly bad.

Already I've gotten all my assignments for the day posted, I've done a nice yoga flow and I've eaten breakfast. I'll do some ellipticalling but the rest of my day is wide open. I don't foresee getting a walk in with the boys, which pisses us all off. They're sick of this snow I think and it isn't over yet. However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel as we're supposed to reach the 40s by Sunday.

I started watching an interesting show last night: Genetic Detective. Here's the synopsis:  Genetic genealogist CeCe Moore uses her research skills to transform the face of crime solving. Working with crime scene DNA, Moore traces the path of a violent criminal's family tree to reveal their identity and bring them to justice. It's crazy...using DNA that's been sent in by people to sites looking for relatives, this woman is able to trace relatives and zero in on actual names of suspects. In one case I watched last night, they were looking for a killer from 31 years ago. Once she had gotten the DNA profile, she was able to solve the crime in 2 hours. So cool and a huge step in solving cold cases.

And that's about all I've got. Dinner tonight is WW BBQ turkey joes, cole slaw and probably fries for Jim and carrot fries for Muwee.

Happy Tuesday! Stay warm and hunkered down. Later!
