Annnnnddddd...I'm "working" from home again today. The snow is just enough to make roads dicey so they've closed K-8 which means the high school is all remote. I'm fine with this and expected it. I had everything ready to go this morning so that when I got the call at about 5:05, all I had to do was go onto Google Classroom and post all the "drafts" I had ready to go in my classes.
Which means, now that I've eaten breakfast, I can chill, have another cup of coffee, do a yoga, chill some more, cuddle with the dogs...you know, what I've done for most of the last week anyway. Jim doesn't have to hurry to work so I'll shovel the driveway after yoga. (With him still having a touch of pneumonia, I don't want him out there in this cold.)
So I mentioned yesterday that the heat pump was acting like a dick. Well, Jim called the HVAC company yesterday and got the guy to come check it out. Turns out our blower was kaput so $420 later, we're all good. Thankfully this happened on a day when Jim didn't have to work until the evening. Sometimes things just fall into place...even if it does result in money being spent. However, I'm wondering how long this heat pump has. I think we replaced it only 2 or 3 years after we moved in which puts this one at about 15 years old and that's about the life expectancy of these things. We'll see.
Did I mention I did my taxes on Tuesday? Yup, I did. Got some money back from federal...owed state. Certainly NOT getting back what I used to get back. Oh well.
Tomorrow I get my 1st vaccine! I'm just happy that the snow will be out of here by this afternoon/evening and I won't have to battle roads to get it done. My appointment is at 8:30. I'll go in a little earlier than that so that I can make a copy of my driver's license and insurance card. Once its' done, I'll come home and...do my usual.
It's going to be a shock to the system when I have to actually go to work 5 days a week. Next week is bound to suck!
I started a new series last night: The Investigation. on HBOMax. It's a Danish series based on the real life case about a journalist's murder (dubbed the submarine case). There are subtitles FYI. It's good...even if I do have to read while enjoying.
Okay well, the yoga mat is calling me. Happy Thursday. Stay warm, snug and safe. Later!
