Woot! It's Friday!

I know it seems like Fridays shouldn't mean anything to me since I'm off all summer but they still do. Mainly because it means I get to hang with Jim. Plus I didn't see him as much this week having gone to Columbus. 

So our anniversary was yesterday...did I mention that? Anyway - we didn't do anything except hang out with the neighbors for a bit once Jim got home and I made a yummy dinner. I made shrimp tacos with slaw and Mexican street corn and I thought I made a ton to have leftovers but I was wrong. Jimmy CHOWED! He had 4 tacos I think and then polished off the corn. He normally doesn't eat like that but I guess he didn't eat much yesterday so there you go. Fine with me...I've got other leftovers I can eat. BTW - I tried to find the corn dish at Kroger  but they didn't have it (normally a frozen dish that you just pop in the micro) so I found a recipe on Pinterest. It was REALLY good and easy. After dinner, Jim and I sat down in front of the TV and I made him watch Sing 2. Well, he got through about 1/3 of it and liked it but he was tired and went to bed. I'll make him watch the rest tonight. HA! 

After he went to bed, I watched another episode of Stranger Things. So good. I'm almost done with season 2...love it! 

The weekend should be fun. Tonight I'll make dinner - Jim wants Deep Dish Pizza casserole so I'll do that with a salad. Saturday we're continuing our weekly dinner with Doug and Lauren. It's Doug's turn to choose and he chose Zips. I'm psyched! I haven't had Zips in probably 3 or 4 years! We'll also go somewhere for a beer either before or after (or both). Maybe somewhere in Mt. Lookout or there's a brewery down on Kellogg we might pop into (Dead Low) or Streetside Brewery on Eastern. No plans Sunday but I'm sure we'll find something to do...or maybe nothing!

So I've walked the dogs and they're happy. For some reason this morning, Scout kept trying to wake me up and kiss me. It was weird. He usually won't bug me if I'm still in bed but he tried like three times and I thought Is Jim not up? But he was and I know he let them out. I guess he just wanted to cuddle with his mommy. 

Okay well, I'm going to go take a bike ride. I'll probably come home from that, water the flowers and then just chill out. Jim was out early so he can leave early and we'll most likely meet at Shooters around 3:00 for a couple beers. He deserves it! He's been working so hard.
