Monday Jobs

I feel like this is the first real, solid week of summer for me which means I'll be starting a summer routine. Today that will consist of making a menu for the week and cleaning. I thought about going out to Costco but I think I'll save that for tomorrow. I've done a nice restorative yoga (it'd been about a week and my body always feels it when I've neglected stretching) and after I finish this, I'll walk the boys. From there I'll do a big house clean and if it hasn't rained yet, I'll maybe take a bike ride. We'll see. 

The weekend was lovely. I mean the weather was amazing! I got home from Maggie's on Friday and hung out after walking the dogs. Jim got home around 4:00 after he got a blood draw and then did a quick stop at Party Source. We just chilled out on Friday...I made taco burgers that were amazing. 

Saturday I laid out, walked, rode my bike; Jim did a bunch of work around the yard (clearing out the side yard, weeding, covering the wood). We had dinner at home Saturday night (beer battered fish, fries and cole slaw) and then I went and had a cocktail next door with Cari. 

Sunday I made a big breakfast, then we walked the dogs, I took a bike ride and we went out to Shooters. It'd been a while so we were due to get our fix in. From there we came home and took a nice nap. Last night we finally went out with Doug and Lauren to dinner. Lauren wanted to go somewhere different so we opted for Rodi, which is an Italian restaurant down in Loveland. They make all their own pasta and it was amazing! Jim and I shared a brussels salad, then I got their ravioli which was stuffed with artichoke hearts and served with a creamy white sauce, shrimp and asparagus. Jim got their orecchiette pasta with red sauce and sausage. It was really good too. Doug and Lauren got their hand pulled cheese ball for an app and then Doug got what I got and Lauren got a pasta with a spicy red sauce and feta. We had told our waiter we were celebrating Doug's birthday which had been last Wednesday so for dessert they brought us a huge piece of tiramisu. It was yummy. We'd been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time and it was worth the wait. We also said that we want to try and make our dinners (or lunch) a weekly outing, rotating on who chooses where we go. We'll see how long that plan works out. 

The visitation for my student who passed away last week is tomorrow. They would like people to wear pink and/or purple in honor of Emma so I'll go out tomorrow and try and find something since I don't really have anything that would work. I mean, I have pink tank tops but that wouldn't be appropriate. I bet Old Navy has some pink dresses that I would like. Fingers crossed. 

Okay well, I'd best get a move on if I want to beat the rain. Happy Monday! Later!
