This morning, around 4:30 I was startled awake by a kiss on the cheek from Jimmy. Apparently he was up and at 'em early and out the door before the birds had even woken up. I guess the job he's on has to be completed by tomorrow and no one told him until yesterday. Not that it's his problem but rather the superintendent who took over for Jim's boss when he quit. Oh well...at least he'll get all his hours in this week.
My plans today: Well, I've done some yoga and eaten my breakfast. In a bit, I'll walk the boys. From there I'm not sure if I'll take a bike ride or get on the elliptical. I also need to go to the store for a few things but other than that, I'm just chilling today. I may lay out if the weather stays as nice as it is. Who knows. I'll certainly read my book, of which, I'm really enjoying.
Dinner tonight will be a request by Jim: Salisbury steak with potatoes and broccoli. It's a fave of mine too.
What else? Oh, the Jan. 6 hearings will be on prime time tonight starting at 8:00. I really do want to see how that shit storm shakes out so my plan is to watch. I find it interesting that the only major network choosing NOT to air them is Fox News. They say they will continue their regular coverage and talk about the hearings "as warranted". Seems about right. I mean, when have they ever wanted to cover the January 6th coup attempt? When have they ever recognized January 6th for what it was? It was a violent insurrection in which the sitting president stirred up support in an attempt to cling to power so that he could become the first unelected despot replacing our democracy. Should be interesting.
Okay well, it's now 60 degrees so time to get out there and walk my babies. Happy Thursday! Later!
