First let me just tell you how much I love my new carpet. It's so cushy and soft. Every time I walk down the two steps into the family room, I get a bit startled because I'm not used to the cushion. I did lay down and roll around on it (not naked though...MAGGIE!) when the guys left. It smells so clean and lovely. Now I want the whole house done. We'll do the living room and family room but after the holidays...I can't wait. I just gazed at the carpet again...it makes my family room look so much cozier than it did. Jim and Sami cuddled up on the couch might account for part of that too.
So today will be busy. I need to get to the grocery (making a special dinner tonight for Jimmy...just because - steak Oscar with a mushroom pilaf) and get the bookshelves put back up in the family room. We'll then get the tree put up. What I might do there is get the tree up and fluff it up (Maggie said this takes a while) and let it "rest" for a day before putting ornaments on. After all that, I'll continue my marathon sewing of Susan's quilt. I didn't work on it at all this week so I need to get a move on there. Time is running out, however, I did order the batting and backing Monday so that should be here soon and then I'll be able to really crank it out. Other than that - nothing. It's still raining cats and dogs which doesn't make Sami happy because she didn't get a great walk yesterday and it's not looking promising today. Maybe later.
And that's all I've got. My meeting yesterday went well. School is good. Jim still doesn't know about when his job will start...what are you going to do? Time for a mimosa! Later!
