I have two meetings today - one IEP which is my meeting and an ETR (3-year eval) which is led by the school psyche. I don't anticipate any issues with my meeting. In fact, it should take all of about 15 minutes since I sent a draft home and we JUST met for the student's ETR two weeks ago. Today's ETR, well, who knows how that will go. As of yesterday, the report/testing wasn't even complete. And let me tell you, these are parents you don't f%&k around with. They can be very demanding and will be bringing their oldest daughter with them who is also a school psyche. Ugh. This new school psyche we have is proving to be VERY flighty, unorganized and annoying. I'm trying to hold back an opinion and give her the benefit of the doubt but she's making that hard. She's been late for every meeting I've had with her (and one another teacher had with her), she's SLOW in her meetings (come ON!!! We don't have all day to listen to you say the same thing over and over); she's wishy-washy (in one meeting I had with her for a student who didn't qualify for an IEP anymore, she seemed scared to just say: "You're kid no longer qualifies" - so I had to) and I'm sure I could go on. Hmm...I'm obviously not holding back very well. Well, at least I'll have the excuse today for leaving her meeting lickity-split since her meeting is at 12:45 and mine is at 1:30.
In other news - no info on Jim and his next job. His supervisor was supposed to have called yesterday afternoon to let Jim know when the next job should start but of course he didn't call. I told Jim if he doesn't hear from him today then he needs to head down to the union. Ridiculous! I mean "Hey supervisor DUDE!!! Get it together! It's the holidays! People need to pay their bills! Quit effin' around with people!"
Lets see...I've got nothing else. Guess I'll get my shit together, write a list of "jobs" for Jim to do today and head out. Happy HUMPDAY everyone. Later!
