Wait & See

Update on Dad: There really isn't a whole lot to say. Things seem to be in a bit of a holding pattern. They did move him to a regular room mid-day yesterday. He's very weak and tired. Moving causes him a lot of pain and he gets neck spasms which are rough on him. His white blood cell count came down a bit but is still in the 30,000s. He's very yellow (jaundiced) but the hospital staff doesn't seem too concerned about that. Right now it's just a wait and see what happens thing.

Trip was there when we arrived yesterday. Our cousin Allen happened to be in town working nearby and stopped in to visit, which was so nice. Anne came as Maggie and I were leaving around 3:00 and Cullen flew in yesterday but we  didn't get to see him. We will today. Maggie and I will go down this morning. We'll stop at Raeburn first so Maggie can see the new house and then we'll head to the hospital for a short visit before Maggie heads back home, probably around lunchtime.

My car battery died yesterday. When Maggie and I got in the car to go down to Good Sam and I turned the key, I got nothing. We ended up taking Maggie's car and she made me drive. I didn't mind though because her car is a dream to drive. My car is now back to it's old self as Jim purchased and replaced my battery after he got off work last night. It's nice to have a handy husband.

As you can probably guess I took another day off work. At first I was going to take a half day but thought better of that. There's nothing happening at work and this way I get to see my dad again, and Cullen and it'll be easier for Maggie.

Dinner tonight: Pork chops I think, probably on the grill.

That's all I've got. Nothing exciting. I'll update more tomorrow and be back on my usual schedule. Later!
