Storms, Skunks and SCORE!!!

To start, I'm on 4 hours sleep...tops. I went to bed early and turned everything off at 8:30. Unfortunately, just before10:30, the storms started. When I saw the winds a blowin' I got on my weather app to take a look and saw that it was just a storm, no warnings in my area. And then the sirens went off. WTF!? That freaked me out a little so I got out of bed and went downstairs. Jim stayed upstairs with the TV on. Eventually I saw that there wasn't anything of significance (tornadic) in my area so I went back up. I eventually turned the TV off at 11:00. I tossed and turned for a while before finally falling asleep (last time I looked at my clock it said 12:11). 

Fast forward to 2:00 am. Remember a week or so ago I told you about a skunk that had been outside in the middle of the night spreading its stank? Well, last night I'm thinking there was a herd of skunks, or a surfeit of skunks (that's the name of a gathering of Pepes) spraying over and over again. The stench was 700 times worse last night and I couldn't get the stink out of my nose. Every time I thought it was gone, another overwhelming wave would float in the window. It was awful. I never ended up getting back to sleep and so when 4:30 rolled around I was not happy. I will say, however, I don't feel all that bad. We'll see how I feel when 10:30 rolls around and my coffee has worn off and I'm starving for lunch. 

The next paragraph is a SPOILER ALERT for Trip. Trip, skip this paragraph over if you haven't done Wordle yet. {I'm pausing so Trip can move forward...pause...pause...pause.}This mornings Wordle made up for the storms that freaked me out last night and the skunk that further ruined my night's sleep. Why? Because my word, the first word I use in every Wordle game was THE word!!! When I typed it in and all the letters turned green, I loudly exclaimed, "NO WAY!!!" So now I need to figure out another word to use; one with at least 3 vowels. I'd thought of using "Adieu" but I think that's been the Wordle before. So excited for me. Ooh, I just looked it up and Adieu has never been the Wordle! Done and done! 

We're meant to get more storms this evening but they're saying they shouldn't be as bad as last night. I'll believe that when I see it. Although, my friend Kevin on WLWT did forecast pretty much exactly what happened last night...so there's that. 

Dinner tonight: I'm either doing chili/lime chicken burgers or pretzel crusted chicken with a creamy mustard sauce. Not sure what I'm in the mood for yet. 

I finished all my teaching in ELA yesterday! Well, I take that back, I have about 5 minutes left today to go over "story details" for the story we finished yesterday. Once that's done, we'll start watching "Rear Window". Woot! 

I have an IEP meeting today for the Uzbek student on my caseload who was just found eligible for services. That should be fun. I love holding meetings with people who are English challenged. I feel really bad when they seem so lost in what's being discussed. However, one of my lunch ladies told me (the ESL/ELL teacher) the mother is really nice and pretty proficient. That's good. Hopefully it won't take long.
