Writing A Book

I was sitting here waiting for my computer to boot up (always) thinking about what I was going to share today and I recalled a story to tell about Jimmy, which then turned into me thinking about what to title the post. I was thinking: "Jim's a dummy, chapter 18" and then that turned into me thinking I should write a book and title it Married To a Dummy. And then I thought a better title might be, How To Stay Married To a Dummy (a How-To book) which then turned into How to Stay Drunk When Married To a Dummy and then I thought about How Not To Kill Your Dummy Husband. So many choices. You know that'd be a best seller!

Anyway, here's my story about Jim: He called me yesterday at school and when I answered, "Hello?", he breezily said, "What're you doing?" Me: "Oh just sitting here waiting for you to call." (Sarcasm) He proceeds to say that he talked to a scheduling person at St. E's and his "consult" with the pulmonologist is Tuesday at 3:15. When I asked him, "What's the docs name?" he answered, "I can't remember. Some Italian dude." So I went on Jim's Mychart and found the name and of course it isn't an Italian. I'm guessing he's either Pakistani or maybe Indian. His name is Irfan Budhani. Jim's such a dummy. I guess since it ended in an "I" he just assumed. Idiot.

I won't be going to his consult. I probably should but I'll be sure to write down lots of questions for him to ask. I don't want to miss school (with the thought that I'm going to have to miss at least one day for the procedure) and the appointment is at 3:15 so I don't want to have to rush down to KY. I've read up on the procedure and I'm sure Jim can handle this. I'm going to make him handle this. He needs to start handling these things better. This is his first test and he better pass.

I have the IEP today for the student who has decided she doesn't want to come to school anymore. We're trying to come up with an abbreviated schedule for her but she doesn't drive and her parents work. I think I wrote about this before. Anyway, we came up with the idea that she could take the county transit home after 3rd bell. This is an expense that the school will have to take on but it's the only possibility and we're trying to work this out for her. So, the VP spoke to the parent about it and she responded with an email that said, "Yeah, so-and-so (her daughter) isn't really feeling the county transit thing. She doesn't want to feel like an outcast more than she already does. What's another option? Uber?" I mean, really!? Sure, you can pay for Uber...have at it. So annoying. This is why I always say, I hate people. Ugh! Anyway, should be an interesting meeting.

So happy it's Friday. The week did go by pretty quickly since we were off Monday. I love me a 4-day week. No real plans this weekend except for football, football, football. I'm so nervous for the Bengals especially since we've go so many injuries but I have faith.

K - happy Friday! Have a great weekend! Later!
