End Of An Era?

As usual, Jim and I went to Shooters yesterday around noon to have a couple beers and play our game. A little background: I'm pretty sure Jim and I are the only ones that play the Megatouch game and when we're not there, they unplug it because it apparently makes a weird whirring noise that annoys the bartender. This means that when we get there, they plug it in and it take a minute or two for it to boot up. Lately the reboot takes a couple of tries and yesterday it finally just didn't boot. Some of the lights lit up but not all and the screen never turned on. It's dead and I don't know that they'll replace it. We'll see. Maybe they'll get it replaced since they have to know that Jim and I won't come in otherwise. Maybe that will be the reason they don't replace it. Ugh! Sad. I told Jim it's his job to call this week to see if there's a plan to have it fixed/replaced.

Weekend Recap: Can I get a Who Dey!? I mean, that game made me a little nuts. The first half was good and I was feeling very confident but then they came back from halftime and couldn't get a fucking first down. Ugh! And now we have to play the damn Ravens again. I don't know if this is a good thing or bad. However, at least we'll have home field advantage. The game is next Sunday night and thankfully I'll be off Monday so I'll get to watch.

Other than that, Jim and I just hung out together over the weekend. We cleaned on Saturday and then went to Hoppin' Vines for some duckpin bowling and to Silver Spring House for lunch.

Ooh, I finally used my new meat grinder on Saturday! I told Jim to check the discount section of the meat case and get any steaks they may have on sale. He did and so Saturday morning, I trimmed up the steak he got, ground it up and made a few burgers. They were scrumptious. Today I'm going to ground up some chicken and make chicken ranch burgers for dinner tonight. Yummy!

Not much is happening this week. I don't have any meetings so things should be pretty easy. I do have a parent and student who is giving me fits and I don't know what to do about it. She's a senior and suddenly refusing to come to school. Apparently she feels like she doesn't have any friends and is falling into a depression according to mom. I believe it but what can be done, I don't know. This is a situation I can't make decisions about so I'll have to deal with it today. I think mom wants her daughter to just get her diploma early but that isn't possible because she needs a few more requirements and it isn't like she has transportation (she doesn't drive) to be on a modified schedule.

K - time to get a move on. Happy Monday! Here's hoping the week flies by. Later! Oh, Jim gets his scan today (I thought it was Friday but it's today) so keep him in your thoughts. Later!
