Man! When my alarm went off this morning, I was sleeping HARD! I was so discombobulated and really had a hard time waking up. It's a wonder I didn't tumble down the stairs as well while I tried to put my robe on. I probably shouldn't do that anymore. I should probably make sure my robe is on and secure before I attempt to navigate the stairs. I might end up like...Maggie! Knock on wood!
Jim's a dummy. Just wanted to remind everyone of that.
Ha! Here's why: We're watching Way Too Early on MSNBC and Jonathan Lamire introduced a reporter for a story. The name of the reporter was Mychael Schnell. They put a split screen up and there was a woman standing there and Jim said, "I'm so confused. I don't know what you look like." And then the realization dawned on Jimmy that Mychael is a female. Oh Jimmy...step into 2023. (Just kidding...an honest mistake I think.)
My dinner was so good last night. As a reminder it was a cornbread chili bake. The thing that made it so good was the cornbread. It was mixed with creamed corn and green chilis and a little cumin and cayenne mixed together. Man it was good. It was better than my other recipe because you bake the bread first before topping it with the chili which means the cornbread is cooked through and yummy. The other great thing about it was I was able to get it all ready right when I got home from work before all my "jobs" and so getting dinner on the table was so simple.
Dinner tonight is a pork tenderloin with broccoli and maybe some roasted potatoes or rice. We'll see what I'm in the mood for.
Not much else to talk about. Seems Damar Hamlin is moving in a positive direction and should recover. Such a relief.
Oh, 5 years ago today, Jim came home from his first stint in the hospital. He would go back in a few days later which would be an even harder stretch. Good God I'm glad I'm not back there! Speaking of which, however, Jim gets a scan tomorrow. Fingers crossed...always makes me nervous.
K - best get a move on. Happy Thursday (ooh, tomorrow is Friday). Later!
