Heartbreaking

Such a heartbreaking game last night. I know I'm biased but I don't think the better team won. I think the officiating was atrocious and overwhelmingly in favor of the Chiefs. Joe couldn't get protected and when the Chiefs so obviously roughed the passer and then we didn't get that call...you have to wonder who else was biased. I feel especially bad for Ossai and I know he's devastated. It was a great season and we'll be back!

Of course after that game I slept like shit and am probably running on about 4 hours of sleep. I turned off the TV at 10:00 and then woke up at 12:00, fell back to sleep but then woke up again at 2:00. After that, I tossed and turned and dozed a little but never really fully fell back into much needed REM. Oh well. I'll power through this day and hope no one pisses me off.

I will be taking Wednesday off for an appointment so there's that.

Jim and I are switching to Fioptics. We'll be saving over $60 a month and will have much faster internet (1 Gig) and better channel line up. Additionally, they'll give us boosters throughout the house for free, password protection, and internet security. We have a three year lock on the price too. We will be getting rid of our landline, however, so take note. After Wednesday, you can only reach me on my cell. I always hesitated doing that but the only person who really calls me on there is Maggie. I'm pretty excited about the switch.

Jim and I went out on Saturday with Doug and Lauren. We checked out the Element Eatery which is located in Madisonville. It's a huge place where there are a collection of restaurants as well as a great bar. It's kind of like a giant food court but with better food. It's very family friendly. Lauren and I had ramen at a restaurant called Rokaru. Jim got a chicken sandwich from a Cuban place and some pretzel bites from Tela (the restaurant that a friend owns, the original is located in Wyoming) and Doug got a veggie burger from Tela as well. It was quite lovely and good to get out. Afterward we came home and played cards.

Dinner tonight: I'm going to do something easy since I'm exhausted...probably chicken burgers that I have in the freezer. We'll see.

Okay well, that's all I've got. Time to finish getting ready. Happy Monday! Later!
