I Shouldn't Complain

I really shouldn't complain about having a mostly uninterrupted morning (about 4 hours) of time to work at school and get shit done. That's what's in my future today as I proctor the ACT. And I REALLY shouldn't complain considering I only have 1 kid! Here's my real issue: Why can't I proctor in my room? Why do I have to trek all the way upstairs to someone else's room, hauling all my needed shit and probably forgetting stuff? Away from my coffee maker? Ugh!? Why do all the juniors need to be upstairs and the sophomores down when they are the only ones in the building so there aren't going to be interruptions. Oh well...these aren't really problems, are they?

So Ohio has opened up vaccinations for over 50-year-olds but of course they haven't updated their website. Frustrating. Jim will his doctor to see where he can go. I told him to call Kroger and see what they can tell him (their website isn't updated either).

It's going to be another beautiful day today with temps in the mid to upper 60s. I didn't take a bike ride yesterday but may try today. We'll see.

Dinner last night was lovely because I used the grill and make some delicious Thai inspired pork chops. Tonight I'll grill again with some chicken burgers...yummy.

Oh boy...now we can't watch Pepe Le Pew because he's a harasser. I mean, can we just separate fact from fiction please!? Okay, maybe I get it...it's not something children need to see and think is okay. But...it's a skunk, trying to get with a cat...it isn't real! Ugh! I just don't know anymore. See, on the one hand, I do get it but on the other, my generation seems a lot less fucked up than this generation and I don't think it has anything to do with Pepe le Pew! Guess we'll never know.

And that's about all I've got. Time to get a move on so I can get all my shit together, brew extra coffee and figure out what the heck I'm doing in giving the ACT.

Happy Tuesday! Stay healthy, get your vaccine and...later!
