You know one of the things I love? When all the players on Wheel of Fortune leave with money and not the complimentary $1000 they give you when you get nothing. It just makes me happy.
You want to know something that drives me nuts? When I start a new post here on my blog the cursor is positioned about 3 spaces in from the page. Which means, I have to go back every freakin' day and backspace the first word of the first paragraph. If I wanted to indent, I would! Fucking Blogger!
Another fave thing? When I wake up in the middle of the night and lay there for a bit, afraid to look at the clock because I don't want it to say 4:52 and have only 8 minutes left to sleep but then I do look and it says 2:01. I get excited that I have another 3 hours to sleep!
I'll end this little game with a fave thing rather than an annoying one. It's all about positive attitudes!
I have a student - a sophomore - who's been acting a little out of sorts lately. It's weird and a little concerning, to the point where yesterday I felt I had to contact the parents (who are divorced and contentious) via email and explained to them what I was seeing. Of course the mother emailed back immediately asking for a phone call and I never heard from the dad (who the kid actually lives with). It's a crazy shituation between the parents and I was a bit nervous having to tell them of the weird things I was seeing. Well, it turns out that the dad took the kid off his anxiety meds and the behaviors I was seeing was a result. Dumb fucking parents! Hopefully things will improve and the dad will catch a clue.
Dinner tonight is leftovers...I have so much chicken Bolognese in the fridge that it's a must. Oh, and by the way, yesterday's new side dish (Brussel sprouts with gnocchi) was really pretty good. Lemony and flavorful.
