Woo Hoo!!! Made It!

First, I made it to Friday! Second, I didn't drink for most of the week (I had two glasses of wine Wednesday after a doozy of a day). That's an accomplishment! Granted, I did go in a couple hours late yesterday but still had to teach all my teachable classes. Bam! Week down! 

And bonus, looks like we're going to get some real snow this weekend. Saturday night into Sunday and even into Monday so here's hoping we get a you-know-what! That would be lovely! 

So I mentioned that I had a doozy of a day on Wednesday after getting three different emails from three different parents about issues that don't really concern me (other than the fact that the student is on my caseload). One of them just keeps going and going and going. A little background: 9th grade girl is in an Algebra class and his suddenly having issues with the teacher. Student wants to work on her math in another math class she's taking and so is constantly on her phone and the teacher doesn't want this. So I guess the student finally blew and had a bit of a temper tantrum. She's claiming, however, that the teacher got in her face and yelled at her. Now, I don't know what the reality is here but I tend to side with the teacher, specifically this teacher because she is not a person who would lose her shit on a student like that and a 9th grade drama-filled girl is. Anyway, the mother is sending email after email looking for this to be remedied and though I've stepped back and am not part of the team trying to solve this problem, I do get the emails. Her latest was this: 

Could either of these be an option?  

• Student changes to online all together for the rest of the school year?  This would have to be after cheerleading is over as I can't transport her until I am off from work for the day
• Student only takes Algebra online, and sits in Ms. Hanke or Mr. Blank's room during 6th bell?  This would cease any physical interaction between student and Algebra teacher? 

Yeah, cause Mrs. Hanke doesn't do anything all day but have kids just sit in her room. Uh...I TEACH 6th period! It's an interesting concept in a high school. I don't have time to babysit your kid. Tell her to grow the fuck up, put her fucking phone away and do her fucking work! JAYSUS! 

Sorry...I'm done with my rant. 

Richard update: He's doing pretty well but the big news is, he and Mom finally got to see each other! It's been since early December! He had an appointment yesterday away from the rehab center and mom got to go. She said it was lovely to see him and they had a great visit! She'll get to see him in 2 weeks again when he has a follow up at the same doctor's office.

Jim just said to me as he was loading the dishwasher, "Gee...I sure hope I put these dishes in the right place!" My answer: "Well, if you don't you'll do it again." I mean, how hard? He unloads the dishwasher sometimes so he knows where thing correctly go. Is the that dense? I don't think so. I think he does it to get my goat! Douche! (HAHAHA)
