Well, Zeke has made it through his surgery. He was done by 11 but I wasn't allowed to pick him up until after 2. The doctor took the part of his ear they removed and sent it off to a lab to check the "margins" to make sure they were clear of cancer. That'll take about 5 days to hear about but then we'll know if they got all of it or not. We have to go back to the vet on Monday to have his bandage removed and then a week from this Saturday, his stitches will come out. All in all, he did really well and doesn't seem to be in too much pain. He actually ate already and kept it down which is good - I can now give him his antibiotic. The only issue now is he won't stay in one place and just sleep. I know he's tired but he can't relax. That sort of tells me that maybe his ear is bothering him a bit. I just wish he would lay down. At least his tail is wagging though. Jim says he's all whacked out from the drugs which I'm sure is partly true. Aw, there, he's laying down.
Okay, I'm going to go administer some TLC - hugs, kisses and belly rubs.

I like the bandage he might want to keep it as a new look.
I'm glad everything went well with Zeke today. Charlie said to tell Zeke to "ret rell roon, Reke!!" :-)
He is definitely a tough old bird! Right now he's sitting here hanging with me. I'm hoping that he'll just take it easy the rest of the night and sleep. Of course with the UPS guy ringing the bell, I've got the chorus of vicious dogs barking...je-sus!!!
Awww, I'm glad he's home and it's over. I'm sure he will be ok. Hopefully the next 5 days won't drag for you guys.
