We Have Returned

YAWN!!!! I'm exhausted. So, Jim and I returned yesterday from PIB and then Jeffrey's wedding in Cleveland. Everything was great. We had great weather at the Bay with a storm, in the evening pretty much every day. This is exactly my type of "perfect" day at PIB: A day in the sun and a quick summer storm to cool everything off. Awesome!
At PIB, Jim and I hung out, played tennis with Cullen, putt-putt with Cullen and Jared, Jim played golf with the boys, we ate a great meal (at home) every night, watched a couple movies (Charlie Bartlett was hilarious), laid in the sun, drank lots of wine and laughed a lot! We left Friday morning and headed over to Cleveland.

We had originally planned on catching the noon ferry but in the end, we were ready to go at 10:30 so we headed out. It was a good thing too because we had to wait for 2 ferries before we got on. It took us about 2 hours to get to the hotel (because we stopped to try and find Jim shoes and couldn't) so after checking in at the Holiday Inn, Jim headed out again in hopes of finding a decent pair of shoes. He left around 2 and didn't get back until 3:45. We had to catch the bus for the church at 4:10. It was quite harry since Jim still had to shower, shave and dress. By the way, I was absolutely calm and not freaking out at all. Seriously! I made the decision before he got back that I wasn't going to freak out. If we missed the bus or whatever, it was not going to be a big deal and I wasn't going to get upset and make Jim feel bad. In the end, Jim was freaked out enough for both of us but he found a pair of shoes and everything turned out fine.

The wedding was beautiful. Better than that though was seeing all my cousins and aunts and uncles all together since, probably, Grandma died. Sucks that we only seem to get together at either funerals or weddings but what are you going to do? For the most part, we're all scattered around the country.

Anyway, I'm glad to be back home and even happier to be with my babies again. It gets harder and harder to be without my pups but I know they are well taken care of (THANKS DIANE!!!) and they're happier here at home than if we took them with us (even if that were possible).

Okay, I'm going to go clean the house and put my pups. Later.

(Had to throw this sweet picture of J.J. and me in - he was SO good at the wedding: Slept through the 1 1/2 ceremony and most of the reception! What a good boy!)
