Oh and get this: Greg's first bell teacher emailed me later to say she ran into the VP on the way to an unexpected staff meeting after school (more on that) and he said to her, "I'm at a loss as to what to do about Greg anymore." Huh! Well, since you've done nothing so far, that's a problem. Since you didn't follow the handbook that TELLS YOU WHAT TO DO!!! That's an issue! Fuck!
Needless to say, I'm done. I've got 22 days left dealing with Greg and I'll do as little as possible to get myself through. I'll do my job but nothing beyond that. I'm done trying to help people out with this situation. No one listens.
The after school meeting was called by our superintendent so he could lie explain about the principal they hired/fired/let go, whatever. In his explanation, he actually used, in the same sentence, the words "transparent" and "resigned". Unbelievable. He stood there in front of the whole staff, who knows full and well what happened and claimed this douche bag "resigned". And why did he do that? Because he has no ability to take accountability. We are in this mess because he fucked up. He didn't vet and so he hired a complete tool who couldn't hide his true colors for longer than a week. The superintendent fouled up badly and everyone knows it. No wonder his voice was slightly shaking while he spewed his lies.
Apparently they plan on starting over and opening the position next week. He claims the process will be transparent but then he added to that statement, "as always". When the fuck have you ever been transparent!? Ridiculous.
Jim: He's still having issues. I'm making him go get an X-ray today. He says his arm is feeling better and he doesn't think it's a break but who knows? How many times have you heard about someone who fell, didn't think it was anything and then went and got it checked out only to find a hair-line fracture or the like. Plus, his boss is planning on paying him for the missed days so this will just so good faith. I'm hoping that this is nothing, obviously...fingers crossed.
I made a really good dinner last night (creamy rigatoni) and we have a TON of leftover so I'm thinking we'll have that for dinner tonight.
Reds won again! They beat the Rays 12-6! (Of course the relief gave up some runs but I'll take it). Still in first; still 1 1/2 games up although the Pirates fell to last place in our division.
Okay well, I'd best head to school. Happy Wednesday!
