Dirt

Yesterday's testing was fine. I ended up heading to my VPs office first thing to fix his mistake. He was certainly overwhelmed with all his fuck ups and was happy for me to take control and move a couple kids elsewhere. It ended up that 2 kids (of my final 12) didn't show up so I only had 10 kids in my room. Today, those same kids are supposed to show up for part 2 of the ELA test so we'll see if I'm full or not.

In addition to the 12 kids scheduled in my room this morning, Greg will be joining to take his Geometry test. I think he took less than 30 minutes to take parts 1 and 2 of his ELA test yesterday (which I knew would be the case) and then I started getting text messages from the para in his room asking what she should do with him because he was apparently being disruptive. Well, dipshit, how about telling him to shut the fuck up and if he won't send him to the office. Duh! I mean why is this rocket science for these people?!

With Greg on my mind due to all these messages yesterday, I thought I'd better check in with his behaviors (remember the plan for him to get his phone back). So I go into the referral site and see that no new referrals have been entered. I knew, however, that he'd been escorted from his Bio class on Tuesday so, playing stupid, I emailed his teachers asking how things were going. Oh and to gently remind them that if there was ANY behavior whatsoever, documentation via referrals were important. (If they aren't recording these issues, they didn't happen.) Of course I then get two emails from two different teachers telling me about recent issues. Did they enter referrals? Of course those dumb mother fuckers didn't. I mean! WTF?! Why do I try? ARG!!!

Needless to say, Greg has had his limit of referrals now for his phone plan and we'll now be pushing the date of "phone independence" 1 day for each infraction from here on out. I'll wait until the end of my time with him today to tell him this knowing that he'll lose his mind. Hmm...maybe I'll wait until he asks me about it. That way I can show him his referrals.

Some more dirt to share: Apparently the incoming principal who I talked about last week is coming to us because his contract was not renewed at his previous post. Guess why? For the same reasons he's now having issues at Kings. The rumor has also spread that our superintendent plans on removing his offer to lead the high school but is just trying to find a way to spin it, I'm guessing, so he doesn't look like an asshole. Too late. This better happen! This high school is a complete dumpster fire and we don't need more gasoline poured on it. I'll keep you updated...cause I'm sure you care.

Dinner tonight: Jim wants a creamy pasta dish of some sort with peas. I'm good with that, I just need to figure out what that is and then probably go to the grocery.

K - I'm out. Happy Thursday! Later
