As you may or may not know, I play Wordle every day. What you may not know is that after I complete that, I play Connections, another NYT game on the app. In Connections, you place the 16 words into groups of four based on their shared connections. Sometimes the supposed connections are so contrived and impossible. It's a crapshoot if I can riddle all four groups out. My success rate is probably 50%. Anyway, today's game was so fucking annoying. Instead of words, it had emojis. It pissed me off so bad. I mean, I have a hard enough time with actual words but you put pics there and it's near impossible. Needless to say, I did NOT get all 4 groups. Assholes.
I'm sure it's been said before but racoons are stupid and annoying and a menace. This morning Scout went out and of course there was a racoon in a tree right outside of our fence and rather than play possum that dumb racoon had to make a huge racket which then attracted Scout to its presence. Scout proceeded to bark his head off and because Jim is useless, I had to get up and wrangle that little effer inside. UGH!
I've said before but I'll say it again: I HATE SPRING! We've got chances for strong storms for the next 3 days, actually nights, and it makes me nuts. Currently we're in the "slight" risk level for strong storms with high winds being the biggest threat. High winds are my nemesis! And of course the storms will most likely hit after 11 PM. Arg! Guess I won't be sleeping well tonight.
The countdown for summer starts tomorrow when I go back to school. I have 6 more Mondays left and a total of 37 days of school. Actually, I will have 36 days left because I'm taking next Tuesday off. That, I think, is doable. Woot!
Weekend Recap: I got home Saturday and met Jimmy at Shooters. From there, we came home and chilled out. I was originally going to make a baked Tuscan chicken for dinner but decided to make something easier and instead we had hamburgers. I'll make the chicken tonight. Yesterday was pretty chill; we just hung out, played games, let the neighbors dogs out (they went to Louisville for the day) and had a simple Easter dinner (ham, au gratin potatoes and asparagus).
This Time Next Week: I'll be in PIB!!! First trip of the year and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for agreeable weather. I don't care so much if the eclipse isn't viewable...I just want the lake to cooperate.
I started a new book which is good: Other Birds by Sarah Addison Allen. It grabbed me right away...I won't bore you with the premise but so far I recommend.
And that's all I've got. It's time for me to get my yoga on. Jim's already left for work (we were going to meet for lunch but I cancelled on him) so I guess I'll throw him a bone and walk Boo for him. Other than that, I plan on doing a little cleaning but mostly relaxing on this, my last day of Spring Break. Happy Monday! Later!
