Holy Merde!

How is it that I slept like a dream (waking up a couple times to pee and drink some water but managing to get back to sleep; not even hearing Jim come home) but I wake up with a POUNDING headache!? So stupid. I took some ibuprofen and did some yoga and usually by the end of my yoga, the headache will work itself out but not this morning. It took until I was out of the shower and dressed before I realized it had faded. I still have a remnant but man, that one was a doozy.

Jim ended up having to work late last night so once again I enjoyed leftovers. He shouldn't have to work late tonight (he's back to normal shift...I think) so I will be able to cook. I'll make "Firecracker Chicken" which is a stir fry sort of dish but with ground chicken. I'll do broccoli with since the grocery didn't have sugar snap peas yesterday. Stupid grocery.

The current temperature is 53 degrees but within the next hour or two, it's supposed to drop 20 degrees. And the winds are howling! Made me a little nervous taking my shower and then letting to dogs out.

In school news: I've got nothing. On this day in two weeks I will be in the midst of exam week and I won't have any classes to deal with. The exams on the Wednesday of exam week are 3rd bell (my plan period) and 4th bell (my GI). Although I may get some kids come in to take an exam in a small group for 4th period, I doubt it. I love exam week because I only have to deal with kids for a portion of my day, I don't have to teach if I do, and I get a TON of shit done. My goal this year is to prep all my classes for the first week of the 2nd semester and get my progress reports done. I do have two IEPs during that week but no big whoop.

I bought some flavored creamer yesterday at the grocery becuase I'm enjoying it more than just regular creamer (a remnant of Covid?) but the "zero sugar" creamer that I normally get is giving me a weird aftertaste. This is not the norm so it makes me wonder.

Ooh, the first trial for the Piketon County Massacre is nearly over. The jury for George Wagner IV is supposed to start deliberations today. Should be interesting. The death penalty has been taken off the table for him. I can't see how he can be let off. Ugh!

I started a new podcast the other day - Slow Burn. The first season (I think there are 7 so far) is all about Watergate. It's fascinating. Richard Nixon was a real dick! (Pun, no pun, intended?) That guy got off so scot-free. Ridiculous. I've really been into political history lately. Season 2 is on the Clinton impeachment. That should be interesting.

Okay well, time to get a move on. Happy Wednesday. Later. h
