Crunch Time

I was looking at my calendar yesterday and everything I have scheduled and still need to schedule, and I started to panic a little. Over the next 5 weeks (two weeks before Thanksgiving and the 3weeks after, before winter break) I will have 6 IEPs. Ugh! Two of them are mostly written, one I won't have to write (it's my scholarship IEP) but the others aren't written and two of them aren't quite scheduled yet. Double ugh. I'm organized but seeing what's on my agenda wigs me out a little. However, after all that, the other half of my year, after the new year, I'll only have about 5 more IEPs left to do so that's something. I just need to keep my eye on the ball and not panic.

Can I tell you how happy I am that it's election day? I'm nervous as fuck for a couple reasons. First, we really need the levy for my district to pass. If it doesn't, it's going to be so sad for so many people who will lose their jobs. I just don't think the community realizes what it will mean for our schools. So many people are distrustful and sending their anger and frustration to the wrong places. If you want to change how schools are funded, don't focus yelling and bitching at school board meetings! They aren't the ones who can change the law. I mean, I'm sure my district spends needlessly on some things (I've seen it) but the fact that we made a levy last years past the time it was supposed to says something. Scary.

The second reason I'm so happy it's election day is I'm SO SICK of these fucking ads! I'm sick of looking at JD Vance's stupid mug and listen to his lies and hypocrisy. I'm so sick of hearing all the dumb fuck things Herschel Walker says and I'm especially sick of seeing and hearing that orange asshole spew his lies. How can anyone who says they have any morals also accept support from that criminal? Some things just aren't worth it. These politicians are selling their souls to the devil but they don't care.

Okay - I'm done. Oh, and I already voted so that's something. Speaking of which, if you've noticed I'm a tad late in getting this posted. Well, that's my admins "fault". He sent an email out last night saying, "If you're trying to get your vote in before school starts, feel free to do that without having to worry about getting to school at 7:00. Just make sure you're here by the time 1st bell starts at 7:40." He didn't need to tell me twice. I took my sweet time sipping coffee before yoga and I'll probably still get to school by about 7:00. (Normally I'm there around 6:45).

Dinner tonight: I'm either doing leftovers or spaghetti squash with meatballs. I'll probably do the spaghetti squash and then do leftovers on Wednesday. We have a ton in the fridge.

Did I mention that Jim isn't on 2nd shift yet? It got pushed a bit so it will either be end of the week or next week. Fine with me.

Have you seen the moon this morning? There's a lunar eclipse happening as I type and it's quite lovely. You have until about 7:00 AM to get a glimpse.

Okay well, time to get a move on! Vote if you haven't voted. Later!
