Today is my Friday since I have a dentist appointment tomorrow to touch up my crown that was drilled through for my root canal. Normally I wouldn't make this type of appointment so that I had to take a sick day but I had to take whatever day/time they could fit me in. Bums me out that I have to take ANOTHER sick day but I need to get over that.
Speaking of sick days - the funk is going around big time. One of the ladies at work who I lunch with, her daughter has a bug for the 2nd time in 2 weeks. And she's not as lucky as I am to have a large amount of days to take. With two kids, she's depleted a lot of her days. She'll probably end up getting the same funk too. Pretty sure she said she hadn't gotten her flu shot this year. Thankfully I did so I'm keeping my fingers crossed I don't have to take another day before winter break.
Jim is working 2nd shift again tonight. I'm hoping this is the last at this job but who knows. It was nice that he was home last night, however, as I was finally able to cook him a meal. Also, it was nice he was working in Newport yesterday and stopped by Party Source to stock up on certain necessities.
Today is December 1st which starts advent. Jim stocked us up on Advent calendars this year. We have two wine ones, a beer one and yesterday he picked a chocolate one up at Party Source. Makes for a minute or two of fun each day. The beer one is pretty major as it has a full pint of beer for each day. Who knows if any of it is any good but if Jim won't drink it and I won't drink something, Doug certainly will. He's like Mikey from the Life commercials, he'll drink anything (beer wise).
Tonight I'll just have some leftovers from last night's dinner (Firecracker chicken with broccoli...it was yummy, btw). I'm hoping Jim will be home Friday night because I have a pork tenderloin marinating and I need to grill it. Well, if he isn't, at least I'll eat well.
K - that's all I've got. Not as short and sweet as I'd said, huh? (We have a staff photo today and I need to make sure I'm well placed (not noticeable) so I can't be late walking in. Happy Thursday! (I will blog tomorrow but it may be a little later than usual since I can sleep in). Later!
