Buckle Up People!

Oh boy...I just looked at the 10 day forecast and starting next Wednesday/Thursday we're looking at some extremely frigid temperature. Christmas Eve? High of 15! Yowza! I told Jim, "We're going to have to stock up the wood!" And he answered, "Gee, I don't know where we're going to get any." He thinks he's funny because we have a TON of wood! Thank the baby Jesus.

Speaking of Jim being a dummy...haha...last time Jim went to Aldi, he had on his list the coconut creamer I like. He said to me before he went, "I don't know that they'll have it because it might be seasonal." I said, "It's not seasonal...they've had it forever...all through the spring and summer." So of course, he came back from Aldi without the creamer and said, "Yeah, it's seasonal." Fast forward to yesterday when I went to Aldi and guess what they had! That's right! My coconut creamer. When Jim got home last night I said, "Guess what ISN'T a seasonal product at Aldi!" He said, "That's what the lady told me at the store last time I went." I said, "The hell! You lie! You said that before you even went to the store! You made that shit up!" He was caught.

A seasonal product they did have was white chocolate peppermint so I got that and I can't wait to try it! I don't like white chocolate normally but I'm sure it's good in creamer.

How happy am I that it's Thursday and this time tomorrow I'll be free of kids by 9:30!? So excited. Today I'll have my 6th period exam first (history) and then my 5th period (ELA). Kids will be out of there by 11:30 so I'll continue to work on prep for next semester. So far I've gotten most of my progress reports done (still waiting on others), I'm nearly done with my next unit for history and have a few things to do for Biology but still have a way to go to be completely ready for the next novel in ELA. However, I decided to show the moving - Secret Life of Bees - when we get back from break so I have time.

Boo has a new little habit but let me give you a little history: If you know Boo, you know he's a piggy and totally food driven. In the morning, the routine is to get up, let the dogs out, when they come in it's time for breakfast. Then we all go sit on the couch and watch a bit of the news. When I get up to go do yoga, they get a biscuit. Sometimes, however, Boo can't wait the 15 minutes and has to come stand on me and skippity-pap me to try and hurry me along. That doesn't work.

After yoga I get my shower and afterwards, when I head downstairs, Boo is always waiting for me because that's when he gets his Denta-stix. Sometimes, Jim tells me, Boo will hear the water from my shower turn off and he'll get up and just stand there at the counter where the canister is and wait for me. He's crazy.

Lately, Boo's new "trick" (in quotes because I've go his number) is to stand at the back door and when I open it, he steps out then turns right around, comes in, plops his butt on the ground and stares at the biscuit canister then at me then at the canister then at me.

I told him a minute ago after he tried this, "No! I make the rules, not you and you don't get a treat every time you step paw outside." He replied with, "Momma! I'm withering away! Look at me! I'm skin and bones!" I laughed at him. It's funny because it's not true and he's so cute.

Okay well, I'm headed out. Happy Thursday! Later!
