We'll See

Jim went to Costco for me yesterday and got some steals. I sent him for alcohol mainly because the Kirkland pinot grigio just had a price drop. It's now $4.99 a bottle. I don't normally get the cheap, cheap stuff but I've had this before (different year) and for the upcoming summer months, it really can't be beat. He got a case of that. He also got me a 1/2 case of their pinot noir carneros. It's $9.99 a bottle and light and delicious and another perfect wine for summer. Truly, considering it's a red, it's very light. He got a 1/2 case of my champagne and then a case of the Kirkland Irish Cream (that's for Jimmy). 

A little side note on the Irish Cream. If you like Baileys and you haven't tried Kirkland's brand, I dare you to do a blind taste test. You won't be able to tell the difference. Your pocket book will however. Now, Kirkland did raise the price recently. It's now...drumroll please...$16.99 a bottle!!! (And that's a 1.75/half gallon bottle!!!) If you look at the price point for Baileys, you can't find it for under $40! How can I blame Jimmy for buying a case!? Try it! You'll like it. I'm just afraid that Costco is going to get wise and raise the price even more. 

Additionally, Jim bought some of the Kirkland hard seltzer. I haven't tried it yet but I'm sure I'll love it. 

Speaking of alcohol, I have a new obsession! Modelo makes a Lime y sal beer that is to die for. If you love a margarita, this will hit your spot! I always crave a margarita and this really satisfies my craving. Plus, it's only 3.5% alcohol! I mean, I could drink a 6 pack of that without feeling much! I wouldn't but I could. The problem with this delicious libation, however, it isn't easy to find. Fresh Thyme had it but Kroger did not. I'll have to keep an eye out and buy a case just to have in stock. 

I wasn't able to split yesterday because of the rain. It had mostly stopped around 4:30 and when I told Jim I was going to go out and split he asked that I NOT since it was pretty muddy. I relented, which means that today I'm going to have to do double what my plan was. Hopefully when I get home, Jim will be ready to go! 

Dinner tonight will be an easy one (since I'll be busy splitting): One-pan turkey keilbasa with brussel sprouts and potatoes. It's a yummy one.
