Oh, last night I was laying in bed and I got a message from Mom/Richard's niece Gina. She'd been going through pictures for her brother-in-law's memorial and came upon some pics of when Mom, Richard and I stopped by their place in Lancaster, PA on our way to Bar Harbor. So funny! And cute. I promised I'd show Mom so here you go!
After school and for dinner tonight I think Jim and I are going to go out to get the rest of our flowers/plants. We'll then probably go out to dinner...not sure where...I'll see what Jim's in the mood for.
Jim's jobs today (in case you're wondering): Plant the flowers he got for out by the mailbox; replant the hydrangea bush which he didn't plant correctly in the first place; clean out some flower beds; finish staining the deck; call Subaru and make an appointment for an oil change/tire rotation for me. I'll probably figure something else for him to do but that seems like enough until I get home from work.
In work news I'm sort of in a place of limbo regarding end-of-year paperwork. I've done all I can do for my final IEP progress reports but have to wait until the end of next week for reporting on minutes with my kids. For some students I need to wait for final grades to be reported. For my seniors, I'll hold their final meetings with them this week (Friday). So, since I can't do much, I've started revamping my stuff for next year's history class. I'll be teaching US History so I'm starting to redo my units. It's kind of a pain in the ass but I've been teaching the same shit forever and it's time to mix it up. I got one unit all copied into documents yesterday and will start on unit 2 today. Once I figure out the units for the year, I'll start putting presentations together along with notes, reviews, and tests. It's a process.
And that's about all I've got. Time to get dressed and get a move on. Happy Wednesday! Later!
