The weekend was terrific! Why, you ask? Because I bought a bike! I'm so excited. It's a Liv Alight and it's purple. It's actually a road bike which I didn't anticipate buying but the bike guy said I'd be happier with that with the number of days/miles I bike per week. It's also significantly faster than my other bike. Which, by the way, was a Schiwnn mountain bike that was given to me about 8 years ago when my neighbor moved. It was not the right size for me but it was a good bike. We found a new home for it: Grace, our neighbor across the circle (Doug and Lauren's oldest) will take it to UC when she starts college in the Fall.
Anyway - my bike is awesome. I took a ride both Saturday and Sunday and it rides smoothly land shifts like a dream. It's a different feel and workout and I can't wait until this time next week when I'm off and can head own to the trail to really test it out. It cost a pretty penny but I plan on having this bike for the rest of my life so it's money well spent.
Other than that, Jim and I just hung out here at home. We managed a trip to Shooters and a few rounds of cards with the neighbors yesterday. Lauren and I won at euchre and I lost my ass at hearts. Jim kept giving me the queen of spades (the worst card in hearts) because he's an a-hole. Oh well.
Dinner tonight: Pork tenderloin on the grill, caprese salad and I'll either make some rice or potatoes.
And that's about all I've got. Not much is happening other than that. I hope I make it through today without losing my mind or falling asleep at my desk. I'll try to get some shit done for my classes next year but there's only so much staring at my computer I can do before I lose my mind.
