Ted Lasso

First of all, let me tell you about my new obsession: Ted Lasso. I've heard from so many people what an amazing series it is and of course I wanted to watch and so yesterday I finally broke down and got signed up for Apple TV. I've watched the first three episodes and am LOVING it! If you haven't watched it, do! Hell, take the next 7 days, get the free 7-day trial for Apple TV, binge it and then cancel. Talk about a feel-good show! Can't wait to watch some more.

So it's been a while since I posted - sorry. The weekend was quite boring. Jim worked on Saturday and though we met for a couple beers after he got off, we just hung out at home. Yesterday I laid out while Jim did some things around the house. Since he's only got a week to get some shit done before surgery, he's trying to get in as much as he can. His chore yesterday was to get some of the rotting boards on the deck replaced. Easier said than done with the screws he couldn't get out and then off and on rain showers. But! It got done and, check, that's one thing off his list.

After that, we went to our local cantina and had dinner. When we got home, Jim was wiped out and so he went to bed and guess what I did. Yep, watched a Ted Lasso!

This week should be a fairly normal one. I'll hang around here, do some cleaning, get my exercise on, maybe do some school work and lay out. Since Jim's going to be in the hospital much of next week, however, I'll probably just leave school work for then. I may head up to school one of these days and check out my room. I'd also like to pick up my laptop but who knows if that's ready. We'll see.

Not sure what I'll make for dinner tonight...either bratts/metts or a chicken brussel sprout dish in the air fryer.

So yeah, Jim's gearing up for a tough week next week. He'll start his "prep" on Saturday with a clear liquid diet and then Sunday he'll have to do the meds to ready his colon for his colonoscopy. After Monday, he'll have to continue with basically a clear diet since his surgery will be on Tuesday. We'll find out then how extensive the fix will be and what the hospital stay will be. Fingers crossed.

Okay well, that's all I've got. Time to get my boys walked. It's cool out there - 59 degrees - so I kind of need to bundle up. Happy Monday! later!
