I've been up for a while. I had my alarm set for 4:00 but I woke up at 2:30 and sort of went in and out of sleep until I finally got out of bed. Sunday into Monday always sucks for sleep for me but I don't feel tired yet and at least I got part of my workout complete.
In other news, the weekend was quite chill. Friday Jim wanted Mexican so we went out to dinner and then came home and hung out. Saturday we went to Shooters for lunch then we came home and I took a nice bike ride. Jim raised my seat and it's almost like having a new bike. I think over time, it had slipped down and wasn't giving me the best ride...all is good now though. Dinner Saturday was a roasted red pepper with shrimp and linguine and then we watched the Reds game. Yesterday we headed down to Little Miami Brewery, had lunch and then came home. The Creamy Whip ice cream truck was in our neighborhood so we walked down with the neighbors and had a cone. The Nunns came over around 4:30 and we played some cards before coming in for the evening. I had taken out some pulled pork that was in the freezer but neither Jim nor I was hungry so we just decided to save that for tonight.
The week should be pretty uneventful at school. Tomorrow I have a half day training for a new program we're using for reading and math with the kids but that's no big deal. I'll be happy to have a 3-day weekend coming up.
Jim's doing well. I'm giving him lots to do over the next couple days. I've told him I expect him to start getting back to his normal activity level and pushing himself a bit. I told him he's not allowed to lay around all day and sleep. He may not be able to lift more than 20 pounds but he can run errands (grocery) and get some things around here taken care of. I'll be happy when he's back at work though I know Boo and Scout love having him home.
