In Jim news, his appointment went well yesterday. He got his staples out and the doctor is happy with how he's proceeding. She wants to see him in 3 weeks - a week before she releases him to work - just to ensure he's doing as well and after that, he should be free and clear from this bout of yuck! It was funny, we were talking to the doc and she decreased Jim's restrictions so that he can lift up to 20 pounds now and Jim said, "She (meaning me) wants me to vacuum while she's at work...is that okay?" (You know he was thinking she'd tell me that he shouldn't be doing that but he was wrong!) She gave him the thumbs up for cleaning and told him that he should be moving quite a bit during the day. I told her that I make him walk the dog up the street and back each day and she said to Jim, "She's a keeper! Listen to your wife." All that walking and movement gets your gut and blood moving which is what Jim needs to recuperated.
School...ugh. I hate the beginning of the year. I have too much to do and getting back into the swing of things (IEPs) is slow going. Not to mention other shit that gets added...it's annoying. Oh, and tonight there's a special board meeting to talk about masks. I'm guessing that the outcome is going to be at least the littler kids having to wear them as well as staff. We'll see. I'll do whatever they tell me to do and I won't complain. I wish I didn't have to go back to wearing masks but whatever it takes to keep these kids safe. I just wish people would listen to the science and vax the kids that can get vaxxed.
And that's about all I've got. I think I'll do pork chops tonight. Jim's got lots of jobs to do today and I'll be interested to see what he actually does. I'll let you know tomorrow.
Happy Tuesday! Later!
