Anne and Max came by yesterday to see the pups. It really is funny how those boys react when they see them. I mean they lived with them for, what, 4 months but they still go nuts. It's so sweet. Boo didn't stop wagging his tail the whole time they were here. (Same with Scout but he always wags his tail so that's nothing different.) The only thing that sucks when they come over is that the boys tend to have scuffles. Part of it is competing for attention but another part of it seems to be their need to show their alphaness...to puff out their chests (they both compete for this and they're both dicks to each other). It really drives me nuts and I had to break out the squirt bottle a couple times. Just to show it to them...that's usually all it takes. The boys also tend to be a little out of sorts after they leave too and Boo is extra needy. He certainly didn't handle the moving between houses back when they were pups and that's definitely part of his insecurities. All in all, however, I'm glad they still feel that connection with Max and Anne.
So the weekend is nearly here and after today, Jim should be off 2nd shift for a good long while. Thank God. It just wears him out. Last night he didn't get home until after 1:00. Hopefully tonight won't be as long a night.
Saturday we have plans to go to my friend Terri's house for dinner. I'm not sure if it will just be the four of us or if others are coming. Should be fun, though I don't look forward to the deluge of rain we're supposed to get. Yuck!
