Cuddles

Originally when I went to bed last night, the boys camped out on their pillows in either corner of the room. When Jim got home around midnight, however, Scout came up and snuggled with me and stayed there for the rest of the night. This makes me so happy. What's even better about this is that Scout does it with both Jim and me. I'd like to say it's because he loves us both equally and he likes to share the love but truthfully, I think it's because he's not a bit particular about who gives him love and warmth and cuddles. As long as it's coming from somewhere...he doesn't care what you look like or who you are.

Now, Boo is a different matter. He's a bit more elusive or selective in the cuddle department. Lately, however, he's been very snugly in a wham-bam kind of way. See, Jim's been giving him a lot of one on one time in the morning. He'll get on the floor or bed with him and just nuzzle his neck and love on his belly and I think Boo has finally realized that it's rather wonderful. Out of nowhere yesterday when I was on the recumbent bike and Jim was in the recliner next to me, Boo stopped his wrestling game with Scout, hopped up on Jimmy and snuggled in for some quick lovin. Jim said he's been doing that a lot lately. He'll stay for about 2 minutes and then hop down and continue his antics with Scout. Funny.

We were watching Survivor yesterday and they were showing these giant fruit bats and I swear, Boo is part fruit bat. They have nearly the same exact faces. It's crazy! And yes, I still watch Survivor. I think this is the 39th season and I've watched every one of them. I love the show.

Okay well, it's Friday and I'm thrilled. I had a full week of teaching and I'm exhausted as are the kids. I promised many of them a video day so I'll have to figure out what weather movie to show them in science (I'm thinking Twister if I can find it). LA - we'll finish watching Jakub the Liar and we're in the middle of War Horse in history. Hopefully this will afford me some time to get some planning done for my upcoming evaluation (the week of March 18th).

Here's a joke: Why did the lumberjack quit his job? He just couldn't hack it anymore. HAHA! You're welcome.

So that's all I've got. Jim doesn't have to work today since he got nearly 16 hours in yesterday. He'll sleep, clean and the we'll meet at Shooters after I finish work. Happy Friday to all! Later!
