Lovely Walk

When I got home yesterday Jim was already home and so we decided to take advantage of the lovely day and take the boys for a walk. I took Scout for a three-mile walk and Boo was with Jim and went for two. They were wiped out when they got home which is exactly how I like them. (I'll take them crazy but it's just easier to get dinner ready when they're not acting like fools.) I'm hoping to do the same again today after school but I have a feeling Jim needs a break. He ended up getting up in the middle of the night to come downstairs because his sinuses are all jacked up. And now he's sneezing and clearing his throat a lot. Not to mention he has to work outside today. I'll have to gear myself up for some drama queen complaints from him later. Man I detest it when Jim gets a cold.

Today is my final observation for the year. I'm doing an editing activity with the kids using celebrity tweets which should be fun. From there the kids will do a writing assignment based on our current book. The crappy thing is that a couple of my students who are in my 2nd period will be continuing their ACT test from yesterday so they'll miss the class. I find the more kids the better in an observation. Thankfully, however, my kids are pretty gregarious and eager to volunteer so all should go well. As long as they all show up. Not worried but I'll be happy when this is over. It's just a lot of stupid shit and rigmarole that teachers have to go through.

Storms are still expected for tomorrow but it's all dependent on the temps in the afternoon tomorrow. Crossed fingers that things don't get too warm.

We've got a guy coming tomorrow as well to look at our drainage problem in the back yard. It's gotten really bad...something is going on and I have a terrible feeling it's going to be an expensive fix. UGH!

Okay well, I need to do a few things at school to prepare for my observation so I'd best get moving. Happy Wednesday. Later!
