Jim is legit sick and is staying home today. Other than his cancer "flare-ups" and hospitalization, I don't think Jim has called in but once since starting with this company 4 1/2 years ago. Pretty impressive. He's such a hard worker! And I have to say that he's not been too drama filled which tells me he really doesn't feel well. Of course he's honking his nose every few minutes (Maggie you would LOVE being here) and when he coughs, it's very exaggerated but that's just Jim. Mostly it's his sinuses, he doesn't really have a cough and I'm hoping, hoping, hoping that he doesn't pass this shit to me!
My observation went well yesterday...I think. I haven't gotten my results yet but the kids were great. I was only missing one kid most of the bell while she took a portion of the ACT. One of my kids who never participates even raised her hand and gave me a correct answer. We had fun too and that's really all I care about. Who gives a shit about the lesson...I like to show the rapport that the kids and I have built. To me that's the most important part of having in such a small class of kids. We're all comfortable with each other and they try hard and are engaged. I'll let you know the results when they're posted.
So happy it's Thursday! Jim and I plan on going somewhere Saturday like we've been doing...some local brewery. It's fun and considering there's not much to do for us on a Saturday until Spring really gets hoppin', we might as well, right. It'll be Jim's job (today) to pick a place to go. There are so many breweries we could do this nearly every week for a year and never hit the same place twice.
The dogs are LOVING this weather! Yesterday we just left the door open until bedtime and they were in hog heaven going in and out and chasing each other and laying in the sun. They have missed that. By the time I went upstairs to read in bed, they were both sacked out! Makes me happy for them.
Okay - well, TGIAF (Thank God it's almost Friday)...I'm ready. I'm even more ready that spring break is just over a week away. Need me some time off! K - later!
