On Vacation

You know who's happiest that I'm on break? My boys! They are not happy, however, that it's raining cats and dogs but beggars can't be choosers.

You may be wondering what my plans are for the week. Well, today I'll run a couple errands: Kroger, TJ Maxx and Kohl's. I need to go to TJ Maxx to see if they have any good tops because I hate all my clothes and have nothing that I don't swim in anymore. I'm going to Kohl's to get some bras. I know, more info than you needed but (brace yourself) since losing weight, I've got no boobs so I need to get new boulder holders. Well, they're not really boulders anymore...more like pebbles. Not that I'm complaining! I prefer NOT being top heavy. Anyway - other than that today, I'll just hang with my babies. I've already exercised (elliptical) although I'll do some arm work later. No real plans for tomorrow but Wednesday I'll head north to hang with the Egberts. Home Friday in time for the weekend and then another brewery on Saturday!

The weekend was great! Jim and I had planned to go to Taft's Ale House and then somewhere nearby for lunch but when we got to the brewery and saw the menu, we decided to stay there. They not only had amazing beer but their menu was awesome. A lot of tri-tip items which I loved. I will certainly go back there. And the building is amazing. Jim asked the bartender how much they spent to rehab the old church that it's in. He said between $8-$10 million. I mean, WOW! It's gorgeous.

Saturday night we hung out and I made pizzas for dinner. I've been hooked on the Great British Baking Show so I binged that this weekend. So good...just finished the first season this morning. On to the 2nd season.

Yesterday Jim did a lot of yard work while I did laundry and binged. Around 4:00, the neighbors picked us up and we headed first for a couple drinks at Nine Giant (brewery in Pleasant Ridge) and then dinner at Casa Figueroa. Both were awesome!

And that's about all I've got. I need to make my  menu and grocery list for the week and then shower and get out so I can get back home to hang with my boys! Happy first day of break! Later!
