Saturday Update

First, condolences, hugs, and love go out to Becky whose mother passed last night. I know she struggled this last year and especially these last few weeks. I'm sure she's now at peace, in a better place and hanging out with all those who have passed before her. Let us know if you need anything.

I can't believe it is the Saturday before school starts back up. This vacation went really slowly at first, waiting for Jim's appointments to arrive but once that was resolved, the days flew. I have NO plans for school when we get back and with one week left before 2nd semester starts, it's really up in the air. First day will most likely be a time to talk about our break and we'll go over exams. After that, however, I need to figure something out. I will start a book in LA for sure but I'm not sure which one. We'll see. I'll poll the kids and see what they want.

Today is NASTY out and so Jim and I will most likely hang after a quick run to Costco and Joann Fabrics. I'll make white chicken chili for dinner and watch football.

I'm starting to contemplate and map out a timeline for carpet install in the living room/dining room and then the upstairs hallway bathroom redo (I haven't shared this with Jim yet...guess I should since he'll do most of the work). I'd like to get the carpet done ASAP and then I'll start purchases for the bathroom. I need to figure out all the specs and choose a vanity first - everything will really revolve around that. I'm on the fence if I should go with a white vanity or a light wood. I am definitely going with a shower stall (removing the bathtub) and a glass enclosure. I want to put in a small seat and I'm thinking something that looks similar to what you see on the left (minus the dark colors and framing on the shower). We'll see.

And that's all I've got. Time to make breakfast and drink a mimosa. I don't think Sami's going to get a walk today as it is gross out. Oh well.  Happy Saturday.  Later!
