Why oh why didn't I buy more pumpkin bagels!? I'm on my last bag! And though I have another package of the pumpkin English muffins, they just aren't as satisfying! I'm such a dolt! Now I've got to wait another 9 months for these little babies!!! It's like being pregnant, right? You wait and you wait and you wait; sometimes the things you eat for breakfast make you sick and then one day you're walking in the grocery and OH MY GOD! Pumpkin bagels are back and the wait is over and you've got a soft, cuddly little package to hold. Of course you don't stick your baby in the toaster and the slather butter all over but hey! Anyway - I'm sad.
An exciting thing happened last night! I was just getting dinner on the table and the doorbell rang. I glanced left thinking, "Who the f%&k is that bothering us when we're about to sit down?!" And then I saw the giant box sitting at the window! MY KEURIG CAME! I mean, JIM'S KEURIG CAME! It took all I had to actually sit down and eat without actually ripping open the box and brewing something...but I did (fastest meal I've ever consumed). Once I set the whole thing up (breaking one piece - which isn't integral in the running of the machine) I brewed Jim and I a cup of cocoa (one of the K-cups that came with it was Swiss Miss). Delicious and it all worked well. This morning I brewed a whole carafe and it went off without a hitch. Woot Woot!
In school news, yesterday was a bit of a frazzle. I felt like I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to catch up with all the things I had to do for the beginning of the semester. I managed to get most things complete and now just need to finish progress reports (due by Friday) and call one parent. I also have an IEP next Friday that I need to complete before this Friday so I can email a draft home. I definitely want these parents to get a good look see prior because I anticipate a bit of conflict on a couple things (the Junior High put some pretty ridiculous accommodations on the last IEP and I'm not putting them on and I think the parents might fight me a bit). I have a union meeting after school today but not until 4:00 (pretty important because they'll be forming focus groups in preparation of contract negotiations). Prior to that though I'll go to Half Price to hopefully pick up some non-falling apart novels for my classes. I'll definitely be home late so Jim and I may have to venture out.
And that's all I've got. Best mosey to work and get some shit done! Happy Wednesday...ooh shortened periods today! Later!
