So I was just watching the Today show and they were talking about a medical study published with mice dealing with eating habits and weight. The two samples were: 1) mice who were allowed to eat whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted and 2) mice that were given restrictions - eating only between a 9-12 hour window. Results: Well, gee, what do you know!? The mice who ate whenever they wanted, whatever they wanted were obese. Is this a breakthrough!? I don't think so! Good lord! Couldn't this money be spent on something more worthwhile? Didn't we know this already!? UGH!In other news - I had a great weekend. Eva is so much fun! She and I did a lot of hanging in her room rocking our babies. Her baby was "Lucy" the lamb and mine was "Obie" the giraffe. Obie was sent home with me (a directive by Eva) to ensure I would come back apparently (as if she could keep me away). As you can see, Jim tried to steal him from me when I got home.

Today, Jim and I have plans to go to Walmart - Jim needs more socks and my slow cooker crapped out (exciting). After that - we need a little Shooter's.
And that's all I have. It'll be a busy week: Parent/Teacher conferences are Thursday. I don't look forward to the long day but I have a boat load of stuff to do (2 IEPs and new lessons to create for Government) so it's all good. Friday I have an IEP that could be a bit of a tug-of-war with the parents (trying to wean them off certain accommodations that their daughter should never have been given by the junior high).
K - happy MLK day! Time to walk Sami...later! Oh, and the house up the street sold so I look forward to the family (please let it be a good family) that moves in. Later!
