Smoke Up My Ass?

I really like my dentist, don't get me wrong but I think he blows smoke up my ass whenever I see him. Whether it's to say that my mouth look great, or my routine is spot on or the implant site looks fabulous, I feel like he says those types of things to everyone. I'm not mad about it as it's nice to hear but when Jim comes home and says the same about his appointments, well, it makes me suspicious.

Anyway, my appointment yesterday was easy and quick. I think I was in and out within 30 minutes. All they did was take a bunch of pictures and an x-ray and $2,500 later, I was headed out. I'll have one more appointment (October 22nd) when they'll put the implant in and BAM!!! 10 months later I've got a full set of teeth again. Woot!

After my appointment I went and got my hair cut. It was so ratty and I could barely get a brush through it. I got a solid 3 inches off and it feels great. I need to do that more often. I also need to get it colored but it's such a pain in the ass and I just don't care that much.

From there I headed home where Jim was waiting. He ended up having to come home from the job he's on because the electricians were there and he couldn't paint what needed painting. We went out to lunch at Roosters and from there he headed back to work. He got home around 7:30, which means he hopefully got most of it done.

I'm headed back to work today and it should be an easy week. I'm showing a movie to the kids in my ELA class and just continuing on with the Industrial Revolution in history. I have a ton of grading to do today so it's a good thing the kids will be occupied with a movie.

Jimmy Kimmel's back. I mean what a bunch of dumb fucks. I'm just hoping that Americans keep pushing back and showing they aren't going to put up with this government overreach. It makes no sense how hypocritical republicans are when historically they've stood on a laissez-faire mentality (government hands off). How can you say you want less government interference and then watch what's happening in our country and be okay with it? And that's all I'll say.

Dinner tonight will be the meal I was going to make yesterday - creamy sausage rigatoni. (I ended up doing a cobb salad last night.)

And that's about all I've got. Time to get a move on and head to work. Happy Tuesday! Later!
