Redford & Chicken Chili

First of all, RIP Robert "Bob" Redford. They say he died in his sleep. That's the way to go. I hope it was that easy for him. Favorite movie of his? Out of Africa (sorry Trip). I also loved The Natural and Barefoot in the Park. Godspeed! 

I was perusing IG yesterday and WLWT posted a story about Skyline. They're releasing their delicious chili with a new protein option: Chicken Chili! I can't wait to try. I make a Cincinnati Chicken Chili and love it so of course this will make me so happy. Now they need to come up with a non-meat option. 

My phone meeting with Stupid Baby's mom (I should probably come up with a different nickname for him) went well. She's very happy with the high school and her son's transition. She said he's said good things about me (that's nice) which is always nice to hear. Hopefully his behaviors and progress will continue to improve but I'm not unrealistic enough to think he won't do stupid shit here and there. I mean, he has his nickname for a reason. Anyway, his IEP/ETR isn't until October 24th so I have time.

Today will be an easy day at school since in my ELA class we finished Othello yesterday. I think it's my least favorite Shakespeare play I read with the kids and I think I'm going to switch things up from here on out. I'm thinking I might put Taming of the Shrew into the mix. I need a comedy and there's a good movie to go with it (The 10 Things I Hate About You). So yeah, I think today I'll start putting that together for next year. Something to do!

Anyway, the kids in ELA are going to do their study guide which is independent work and in history we're just continuing with the Industrial Revolution. The focus today is on Andrew Carnegie. Exciting, I know. 

Dinner tonight will be leftovers. We have the meatloaf, pork schnitzel and last night's dinner of coconut chicken curry to choose from. I loves me some leftovers. Especially if it means my evening routine is easier. 

I finished listening to my latest book: Accidentally On Purpose by Kristen Kish. If you aren't a Top Chef watcher, you probably don't care but I loved the memoir. She made me cry about 27 times. And because she read it and got choked up, that made me even more weepy. I'm now back to what I was listening to before this one came available, Karin Slaughter's Triptych which is a Will Trent thriller. This is the first in the series and though it started a little slow, I'm liking it. 

Okay that's all I've got. Time to finish my routine and hit the road. Later!
