Running On Fumes

I will be muddling through today from lack of sleep but right now, I feel fine. I ended up staying up to watch the WHOLE debate and then when I finally turned everything off, I flip-flopped for probably an hour. Hopefully the kids are good and I won't have to expend too much energy on jerks. Hopefully this day will fly by. One good thing is that seniors will be out of the building for their day of service. Not that I have any seniors so it doesn't really affect me. 

In regard to the debate, I will say is this: If you were unsure of what Kamala Harris stood for, you should now be clear. She stands for America, for all people. If you didn't understand what her plans were, you should have a clearer view now. She has plans for moving forward and bettering our future and she answered the questions last night. She wants to come together as a country rather than divide. Here's what I don't understand: For those who are sick of the political rhetoric which our country has been mired in of late; for those who don't want to listen to politics because of what it has become; for those who wish things weren't so toxic and divided; for those who normalize trump's behavior, my question is this: Which candidate has put us into the position we find ourselves? Which candidate has been embroiled in his own defense due to his own actions? Which candidate name calls and talks in crazy, unhinged circles? Which candidate blames everyone else for the things he's be complicit in? It isn't Kamala Harris. She is focused on the future and moving toward unity.

That debate should have really concerned you if you're thinking that the irrational, maniacal and seemingly unbalanced former president should be back in the White House. Simply put, he's nuts. He's racist. He's paranoid and out only for himself. He's disgusting and I'm scared of him. Truly. How can anyone watch him, watch that behavior and think he has an ounce of self-control or that he cares a lick for anyone but himself. 

That being said, however, when I watch Harris and Walz, I feel the hope. I TRUST them. I trust that they aren't going to do anything that isn't first and foremost in the best interest of the country. Not in the best interest of them but the people. All people. 

Okay well, I'll be surprised if I end up cooking tonight. I anticipate that I'll be quite spent come 3:00. Not to mention that it's going to be near 90 again today. That's exhausts me just typing it. So sick of the hear. Anyway, my point is, I'm not sure about dinner. Maybe Jim will want to go out. 

Oh, speaking of Jim, did I mention that Jim starts he starts a two week stint on Monday working in Mansfield. He'll go up on Monday, work 4 10-days, come home Thursday evening. Which means I'll be on my own during most of the week. And after he was told all this, he asked for a raise. Can't say I blame him.
